Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will visit Azerbaijan on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Turkish foreign ministry sources said, Anadolu Agency reports.
One of the topics of Fidan’s meetings in Azerbaijan will be the Azerbaijani-Armenian peace process. In this connection, he plans to note that a historic opportunity has been created to establish peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Also, Turkey is expected to reaffirm its support for the establishment of good-neighborly relations between the two parties and to positively assess the respective progress made.
In addition, the Turkish foreign minister will express support for the restoration of infrastructure in Azerbaijani-occupied Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), the development of energy and trade routes, as well as efforts to strengthen regional ties.
