The 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, one of China's highest-profile annual international security and defense conferences, is kicking off in the Chinese capital.

According to the Chinese Ministry of National Defense, the event, which will be held from Tuesday to Thursday, will bring together official representatives from about 100 countries, regions, and international organizations.

Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, who is in China on a working visit, will also participate in the forum.
