Sir Howard Davies, Chairman of Inigo Insurance and a leading figure in the UK’s financial sector, will deliver a keynote address at the Armenia–UK Business Forum 2026, taking place in Yerevan on 5–6 October.

At the Forum, Sir Howard will address UK–Armenia financial and investment cooperation, sharing his perspective on opportunities to deepen financial ties, strengthen the investment environment and advance cooperation between the two countries.

His participation comes as the inaugural Forum prepares to bring together more than 800 participants, including over 100 delegates from the United Kingdom and 25 featured speakers. Designed as a platform for senior decision-makers, the Armenia–UK Business Forum 2026 will become the platform to combine high-level discussions with targeted business engagement aimed at translating dialogue into new partnerships and investment opportunities.

Sir Howard brings to these discussions decades of experience at the highest levels of the UK’s financial system. As Chairman of the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA), he led the creation of the country’s unified financial regulator from nine separate regulatory bodies. He later served as Director of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2003 to 2011.

From 2015 to 2024, he served as Chairman of NatWest Group. In 2000, he was knighted for services to financial regulation.

His career has also extended across academia and the private sector. From 2003 to 2011, Sir Howard served as Director of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and from 2015 to 2024 as Chairman of NatWest Group. He currently serves as Chairman of Inigo Limited. In 2000, he was knighted for services to financial regulation.

With a career spanning central banking, financial regulation, major financial institutions and academia, Sir Howard brings to Yerevan the perspective of a leader who has played a direct role in shaping the UK’s modern financial system — adding a significant voice to discussions on the future of Armenian–British financial and investment cooperation.

Held under the theme “Building Bridges for Capital, Talent and Innovation,” the Armenia–UK Business Forum 2026 will bring together government leaders, investors, executives, innovators and academics from Armenia and the United Kingdom, with its main business programme taking place on 6 October at Dvin Music Hall.

The inaugural Armenia–UK Business Forum 2026 will take place in Yerevan on 5–6 October 2026, marking the first edition of the initiative aimed at strengthening bilateral business, investment and institutional cooperation and creating new opportunities for Armenian–British partnership.

The Forum will open with a Gala Concert on 5 October, followed by the main business programme on 6 October, bringing together representatives of the business community, government and international partners.

The initiative is organised by the Oxford Alumni Business Club of Armenia (OABCA) in partnership with the Government of the Republic of Armenia, including the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Enterprise Armenia, and the British Armenian Chamber of Commerce (BACC).
