Armenia is 86th in the ranking of the best countries to live in, as per the Global Relocation Index 2026, prepared by the Rumavi company. Accordingly, the country received 62.2 points out of 100.

Armenia is rated highest in terms of tax friendliness, ranking 65th in the world. For entrepreneurs, the country is ranked 67th, for families - 71st, and for retirees - 72nd. At the same time, Armenia ranked only 96th in terms of appeal for digital nomads—remotely working travelers.

Rumavi noted that Armenia is offering “particular appeal to entrepreneurs and families seeking affordable relocation.” Among the advantages of the country, the company highlighted the “strong property rights for non-citizens and straightforward visa access.”

At the same time, the authors of this rating pointed to “significant air quality concerns and limited business opportunities.” They added that “the country's notably low climate comfort score reflects its continental conditions.”

The Global Relocation Index 2026 included 192 countries. They were assessed on 24 indicators, including conditions for different categories of people considering moving.

For comparison, Georgia received 69.3 points out of 100, Azerbaijan took 91st place, Turkey - 97th, and Russia - 121st.
