Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov congratulated his Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan, on the 35th anniversary of Armenia’s independence.

In his message, Lavrov expressed a conviction that maintaining comprehensive Russian-Armenian cooperation stems from the interests of the peoples of both countries.

"I am confident that maintaining Armenian-Russian multilateral cooperation, including maintaining an active dialogue between the foreign ministries of Russia and Armenia, stems from the mutual interests of the peoples of our countries," states the message posted on the Russian foreign ministry website.
