Valentina Matvienko, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly, congratulated Armenia’s lawmakers on the country’s national holiday, Independence Day anniversary.

“Russian-Armenian long-standing cooperation is based on the traditions of friendship and good neighborliness, stems from the long-term interests of the peoples of our countries, and contributes to strengthening regional and global stability,” also reads the message by the Russian Federation council speaker to the speaker of the Armenian National Assembly.

According to Matvienko, the Russian Federation Council attaches great importance to maintaining a constructive dialogue between the parliamentarians of Russia and Armenia and considers it “an integral part of the entire complex of interstate cooperation.”

“I wish you and your colleagues success in your responsible activities, and peace and prosperity to the citizens of the Republic of Armenia,” adds the message by the speaker of the Russian Federation Council.
