Armenian News-NEWS.am’s correspondent continues to explore Chongqing, China, and has witnessed a spectacular drone light show at the confluence of two rivers. Hundreds of illuminated drones fly synchronously into the night sky, forming three-dimensional figures, inscriptions, and symbols of the city above these rivers’ bank zone.

The show lasts about 15–20 minutes. It usually starts at 9pm from May to September, and at 8:30pm from October to April. Larger shows are held on major national holidays, but in case of heavy rain or wind, the show may be canceled for safety reasons.

To get a good viewing spot, the creator recommends arriving at least an hour before the show starts. The view is not clear from all points, so it is better to orient yourself in advance with Chinese maps—Baidu Maps or Amap—and enter these addresses:

Chaotianmen Square, near the Raffles City Chongqing (重庆来福士) complex—a view from the confluence of the rivers; drones often fly directly over the water.

Nanbin waterfront, near the Chongqing Planning Exhibition Hall (重庆市规则展馆)—a direct, frontal view of the Chaotianmen skyline.

But if you don't have time to go in advance and get the best spots, you can simply enter the aforesaid landmarks in your navigator and go down the road to the waterfront. The wonderful view of the performance will open right on the way.
