YEREVAN.- Head of the Armenian parliament’s standing committee on defense, national security and internal affairs Hrayr Karapetyan and head of committee on science, education, culture, youth and sport Artak Davtyan met with the delegation of Russia’s Federal Assembly.

Head of the Russian delegation, Nikolai Fedoryak noted that the purpose of their visit is monitoring the activities and conditions of the Russian military bases overseas, as well as discussion of financial issues to improve the legislative field.

The Russian delegation is also interested in strengthening inter-parliamentary relations, the future intensification of contacts in the spheres of defense and security. The parties discussed issues of mutual interest.
