The process has not stopped, it has slowed down. Armenia's border is open with Turkey, I link it more to the completion of the processes that have been going on between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and with the crossing of the point of no return, so to speak. Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, on Thursday told this to reporters in the government building, referring to the question that there seems to be no progress in the normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations and the reopening of the border between the two countries.

"In my assessment, this is definitely a task for the near future. I mean both the point of no return, which in terms of peace we have already crossed a long time ago, and the issue of [re]opening the [Armenian-Turkish] border, because there is no prerequisite that I think that this issue will not be resolved or will be further delayed. Let's record that work is being carried out also by Turkey in that direction—to restore infrastructure, restore ties. We are holding meetings, our businessmen are going there. In a word, it is a process that is proceeding positively," said the secretary of the Security Council of Armenia.
