Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Ruben Rubinyan, on Friday received the newly appointed ambassador of France to Armenia, Florian Escudié.

First, Rubinyan congratulated Escudié on assuming this responsible position and wished him success in carrying out his diplomatic mission, the NA informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

At the subsequent meeting, the friendly relations established between Armenia and France was highlighted, and the need to further deepen and expand them was underscored.

Also, reference was made to the effective cooperation established between the parliaments of the two countries and the necessity to further strengthen it.

In addition, the parties  emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in economy, infrastructure, education, culture, etc.

It was underscored that the declaration on strategic partnership creates new opportunities for the further deepening and multifaceted development of relations between Armenia and France.

Ruben Rubinyan and Florian Escudié exchanged views also on a number of regional issues.
