Opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) chairman, businessman Gagik Tsarukyan on Friday was taken to the Investigative Committee for questioning again. Tsarukyan’s spokesperson, Iveta Tonoyan, told Armenian News-NEWS.am about this.

According to Tonoyan, investigative actions are being conducted with Tsarukyan’s participation in the case of Iranian businessmen, who are recognized as injured party in the proceedings.

Gagik Tsarukyan is accused of fraud and money laundering on a particularly large scale. According to law enforcement agencies, the PAP leader had organized the theft of more than $21 million in property from Iranian businessmen. Tsarukyan was already questioned several times in the same case over the summer.
