The US is increasing its focus on the South Caucasus, recognizing the region's potential for developing the Trans-Caspian trade corridor and expanding opportunities for American businesses, US Chargé d'Affaires in Azerbaijan Amy Carlon said.

"I think it is very clear that the United States is currently prioritizing the South Caucasus region," Carlon said.

She also referenced a recent event held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York dedicated to the TRIPP, as well as a speech by US President Donald Trump in which he highlighted the agreement reached between Azerbaijan and Armenia in August last year.

“This is not something that will fade away. This represents a new focus for the US government, as we genuinely see the potential of the South Caucasus within this Trans-Caspian trade corridor, as well as opportunities for American business, mutual prosperity, and ways we can bring peace and new possibilities to this region," said the US Chargé d'Affaires in Azerbaijan.
