Turkish President Abdullah Gul met with US President Barack Obama within the framework of the Chicago NATO Summit.  

During the meeting they also reflected on the Cyprus and Armenian issues. “A progress needs to be achieved in these matters,” Gul said, the Turkish Turktime website informs.       

It is noted that the 30-minute meeting between Barack Obama and Abdullah Gul was held behind closed doors. 

Earlier in Chicago, the Turkish President had met with and congratulated the newly-elect French President François Hollande. And it was noted that they discussed nothing in connection with the Armenian Genocide.
