Turkey has submitted its proposals to Russia and Ukraine on ensuring the security of navigation in the Black Sea, a Turkish government source told RIA Novosti.

"At this phase, we do not plan to publicize their content, as we believe that diplomatic initiatives should first be discussed with the interested parties. Ankara will continue contacts with Russia and Ukraine, seeking to create conditions to ensure the security of commercial navigation and prevent further escalation in the Black Sea," the aforesaid source added.

According to this source, the Turkish side considers it necessary to continue diplomatic work aimed at reducing risks for civil and commercial navigation in Black Sea.

Attacks by Ukrainian armed forces against civilian maritime infrastructure and peaceful vessels have also become more frequent recently in Black Sea.
