Due to the introduction of a new biometric document system in Armenia, the Armenian embassy and consular offices in Russia are temporarily suspending passport issuance, the embassy informs.

“From October 5, 2026, passport issuance (exchange) services through the embassy and consular offices of the Republic of Armenia in the Russian Federation, including via video link, will be temporarily suspended,” the statement says.

Also, the Armenian diplomatic mission in Russia promised to provide information on the date of resumption of these services.
