Rosatom is thanking Armenia for assisting in the evacuation of Russian personnel from Iran's Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in the spring, this Russian state corporation's director general Alexey Likhachev told reporters after his meeting with the Armenian leadership in Yerevan.

"I would like to begin my speech with gratitude to both the government and the people of Armenia. During the rather difficult months of the spring, when we [i.e. Russia] were evacuating hundreds of people—moreover, under gunfire and literally fighting for each person's life, Armenia made it possible to bring our buses and people out through the Iranian border," Likhachev said.
