One of the three dead in Yerevan crane accident was Armenian, and the other two were Iranian citizens, Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned.

Their bodies have not yet been removed from the area. Ambulance staff, investigators from the Investigative Committee of Armenia, and rescuers are at the scene. According to preliminary information, the tower crane had collapsed during disassembling.

Earlier, Armenian News-NEWS.am reported that at 14:10 on Tuesday, the 112 emergency hotline of Armenia received a call that a crane was partially damaged and collapsed while carrying out construction work in Yerevan.

A fire and rescue squad and a special rescue team were dispatched to the scene. According to initial reports, there are three fatalities.
