Arman Khachatryan, deputy executive director of the Road Department Fund of Armenia, on Thursday attended, headed by Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Kristine Ghalechyan, the Armenia-Iran interdepartmental meeting held at the Norduz checkpoint on the Armenia-Iran border, the Road Department Fund informed Armenian News NEWS.am.

The Iranian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development Reza Akbari.

The parties discussed mechanisms for re-equipping Armenia-Iran border infrastructure and increasing cargo transportation.

Deputy ministers Ghalechyan and Akbari reached a practical agreement to resolve existing obstacles in bilateral cargo transportation.

Also, the Armenian delegation attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction project of the Norduz checkpoint of the Armenia-Iran border.
