The Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence of Armenia, Tatev Aslanyan, participated in the “Freedom 250: Shared Values, Shared Opportunities” high-level meeting organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia (AmCham Armenia).
The event was dedicated to the 250th anniversary of US independence and the expansion of Armenian-American economic and technological cooperation, reports the press service of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence of Armenia.
In her address, Aslanyan presented the achievements in Armenia’s artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, especially highlighting the Firebird AI factory launched jointly with NVIDIA, Eleveight AI, and university supercomputing capabilities, thanks to which Armenia provides a large amount of GPU computing power in the region.
Also, she stressed the role of Synopsys Armenia in semiconductor design, which, along with its computing capabilities, makes Armenia a serious player not only in the AI software, but also in the hardware domain.
Tatev Aslanyan underscored the AI and semiconductor cooperation memorandum signed between the US and Armenia in August 2025, noting that it is a clear signal in building the future of bilateral technological partnership, developing deep and practical cooperation.
The deputy minister detailed the five strategic directions outlined, and stressed the formation of a predictable AI regulatory framework starting from the public sector in Armenia, the fair distribution of GPU resources, and the implementation of a five-year human capital development program.
Tatev Aslanyan emphasized the importance of Armenia's technological economy moving from providing services to creating its own products and leading technologies—deep-tech, physical AI, health-tech, which will open up wide opportunities for American investments and joint projects.
In conclusion, Tatev Aslanyan noted that Armenia has the necessary infrastructure, a strong STEM community, and a government that creates a predictable environment, and invited American investors to actively engage in the process of shaping Armenia's technological future.
