The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia proposes to create a single registry of persons missing as a result of military operations. A respective draft government resolution has been circulated on Armenia’s E-draft.am platform.

The data in this registry will be permanently accessible to Armenia’s Ministry of Defense (MoD), NSS, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Foreign Intelligence Service, Prosecutor’s Office, and Investigative Committee.

The data on this registry are planned to be formed based on information received from Armenia’s state and local self-government agencies, including relevant information systems. At the same time, any person who possesses information on the aforesaid missing persons will be able to transfer such information to Armenia’s NSS by any means available to him/her (hotline, unified electronic inquiry platform, official e-mail, written application, official letter, etc.) to input it into the registry.

The NSS will have complete access to this registry. In addition, Armenia’s MoD, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Foreign Intelligence Service, Prosecutor’s Office, and Investigative Committee will have access to the data stored in this registry.
