Genrikh Mkhitaryan — Armenian club's half-back, his official debut celebrated scoring a goal for Donetsk Metallurg. In the first match of European League's second round qualify, the hosting Metallurg defeated Belarus's MTS-Ripo with crushing 3:0. Mkhitaryan, 20, scored the goal on the 28 minute when facing the opponent's goalkeeper he kicked the ball bringing the score to 2:0. Besides, he twice attacked the opponent.

The ex-player of Yerevan's Pyunik in June confirmed his transfer to Metallurg club, signing a “3+2” scheme contract.

Mkhitaryan is a son of a famous Armenian forwarder Hamlet Mkhitaryan who during the soviet and post-soviet era was a leader of Armenian Ararat team and it's main goaller.
