Threats to attack Russia's Kaliningrad Region were previously made by the Baltic states and other NATO member countries, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during a press conference, Kommersant reports.

Lavrov added that subsequently, the Russian side issued a response statement, and NATO representatives began to assure Moscow that they had no plans to attack Russia.

Also, FM recalled the statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who had said that in the event of a direct attack on the Kaliningrad or any other region of Russia, all types of Russian weapons could be used.
