The US military has lost 25 aircraft, 49 drones, and 7 helicopters since the start of the conflict with Iran, according to a new report by the US Congressional Research Service.

The report notes that earlier, several analysts and representatives of the US Department of War had publicized various estimates of the replacement cost of the lost equipment, including aviation.

In September, the Congressional Budget Office had estimated—as of August 1—the cost of the lost equipment at between $1.9 billion and $3.3 billion, depending on the Pentagon's plans to replace them.
