A representative of Alpha Prime Mining Company, which uses quite serious innovative technologies in the mining industry, also visited Armenia as part of a Belgian delegation. Valery Safarian, president of the Belgian-Armenian Chamber of Commerce, told this to a press conference in Yerevan Wednesday.
“These technologies have developed quite a bit in recent years, and enable, for example, in mines where the percentage of minerals extracted per ton is quite low, to significantly increase that percentage. Belgium is a leader in this sector,” Safarian added.
Also, he informed that a Center of Excellence and Healthcare will be established in Armenia.
“This mission is led by a team of Belgian enterprises’ leaders. This will be an investment that will be implemented by Belgian enterprises and will also be supported by Armenians in the diaspora. This program also assumes training a certain number of doctors and medical personnel,” Safarian noted.
“This will be more of a center for the elderly. This is a good cooperation with a large Belgian hospital center. For example, elderly people visiting Armenia can stay there for 1-2 weeks, it does not have to be long-term. There will be people who will be able to buy a room on an annual basis and stay for a long time,” Safarian added.
This will be aimed primarily at Diaspora Armenians, because it will be more obvious for them to visit there, use the services, and enjoy Armenian hospitality. The idea is to develop other related programs to attract as many people as possible and develop medical tourism [in Armenia],” said Safarian, adding that this center will be in Arzni resort village.
