European countries should shoulder more of the cost of defending their own continent, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said.

“One thing we agree on, for example, is that the nations of Europe need to take on a greater share of the burden in defending their continent—and Greece is doing just that,” Rubio said Wednesday during a joint press conference with Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, following their meeting in Athens.
