A total of 375 high schools in France have been completely or partially closed due to ongoing student protests, Franceinfo radio reports, citing data from the country’s education ministry.

In particular, 224 high schools were completely closed as of Thursday morning.

Another 151 high schools were able to partially resume work.

According to the ministry of education, these figures are 30 percent lower than on Wednesday, and in general, 94 percent of high schools in France were able to fully or partially reopen Thursday morning.

Street protests by high school students dissatisfied with their learning conditions continue in France. On Tuesday, 450 thousand people took to the streets in the country, and 100 thousand of them were in Paris. Over the course of one week, 715 police officers and 215 students were injured.
