The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia has qualified as “misinformation” the report about the alleged infiltration of Azerbaijanis in Meghri city and the carrying out of search operations.

“It is misinformation. In general, all this information is a lie. There is no such incident in Meghri. The NSS denies the news about the infiltration of Azerbaijanis in Meghri,” the NSS press center said.

As reported earlier, this incident was reported by 24NEWS, noting that since night, three alleged Azerbaijanis had been searched for by drones near Meghri.

At night, residents of Kuris village of Armenia’s Meghri city, bordering Azerbaijan, saw three people in civilian clothes, who, according to eyewitnesses, were most likely Azerbaijanis.

After talking with them, they fled, and search operations were immediately launched in the village and surrounding areas.

Earlier, the NSS had neither denied nor confirmed this news, and asked to send a written request in this regard.
