Georgia is actively fulfilling its role within the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project in terms of transport accessibility, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili said, the Georgian First Channel reports.
“Regardless of how these routes develop in the future or which countries they pass through, it remains highly important and beneficial for Georgia within the framework of regional cooperation,” the Georgian official added.
She noted that Georgia occupies a strategic position, particularly given its ability to connect to international markets via the Black Sea. According to her, Georgia’s maritime access is vital not only for the South Caucasus, but also for the Central Asian countries, and this factor further elevates Georgia’s role in developing regional transport and communication corridors.
