Armenian football club Gandzasar was crushingly defeated at the start game in European League (the former UEFA Cup). In the first match of the second round qualify in the Netherlands, Gandzasar was defeated by Breta scoring 0:6. Some of the hosting side: Kis Kwakmen (24 minute), Edwin de Graaf (55, 70), Metthew Amoa (57, 61), and Entony Lurling (68) showed a splended game.
The return game of the clubs will be held in a week in Yerevan. However, it will be just a bare formality — as it scarcely Armenian team will be able to score 6 goals against the Netherlands.
Earlier, two other Armenian clubs: Banants (Yerevan) and Mika (Ashtarak) bid farewell to the European League being two matches behind Široki Brijeg (Bosnia) and Helsingborg (Sweden).
The only Armenian club that headed for European League is the last-years champion Pyunik who drew (0:0) the first match of the second round qualify of Champions' League and now will host the return game on July 21.
