The Armenian president signed a decree, according to which Artsvik Grigoryan was dismissed from the post of Deputy Commander of the Special Army Corps of Armenia.

Grigoryan was appointed to this position on October 22, 2025.

Most likely, this dismissal is related to the recent penetration of an Azerbaijani soldier into Syunik Province of Armenia, since the latter’s Special Army Corps has the functions of protecting the country’s combat positions, organizing combat duty, and predicting adversary actions.

The aforesaid Azerbaijani serviceman had entered a resident's house in Shaki village, shot and injured its landlady, and Armenian law enforcement was able to catch him only after that.
