UAE's Etihad Airways is canceling flights to Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, while Qatar Airways is temporarily suspending flights to Riyadh and Dammam.
Etihad Airways has announced the cancellation of its flights between Abu Dhabi and the Saudi cities of Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam due to the unstable situation in the region.
According to information published on the airline's website, all flights between Abu Dhabi and Riyadh have been canceled until October 19, while air traffic between Abu Dhabi, Dammam, and Jeddah has been suspended for several days.
Qatar Airways, the national carrier of Qatar, said that its flights to and from Saudi Arabia have been temporarily suspended due to ongoing tension in the region.
The airline said it was closely monitoring the situation in Saudi Arabia and coordinating with relevant government authorities.
The suspension of these flights is due to multiple attacks by the Houthis on Saudi airports.
