Armenia has the potential to discover new gold and copper deposits, as well as to study minerals of vital importance. Founder, chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Lydian Armenia company, Hayk Aloyan, told reporters about this on Friday within the framework of the Mining Armenia Forum 2026.
As per Aloyan, Armenia has opportunities for further development of the mining industry, including in geological exploration and the study of minerals of vital importance. And to realize this potential, it is necessary to attract investments and conduct relevant research.
Speaking about the significance of the Mining Armenia Forum, Aloyan noted that this platform unites representatives of mining and geological exploration companies, the Armenian government, and local communities. Participants can jointly discuss various problems and issues, as well as develop approaches to their solution.

He said the main result of this forum is the exchange of international experience. Aloyan emphasized that highly qualified specialists, lawyers, and experts participate in the panel discussions, and share their experience with Armenian colleagues.
