Based on the results of the first days of COP17 and also looking back at the European Political Community summit organized in Yerevan in May of this year, we can record the following: that Armenia is positioning itself as a country that organizes high-level international events at a high level, and this is an undeniable and extremely important contribution to the international standing of the Republic of Armenia and a very significant achievement. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday stated this on Facebook.

“I think we should continue this strategy, and Armenia should host more and more such events, because firstly, they increase the visibility and international standing of the Republic of Armenia, secondly, they bring new tourist flows to the Republic of Armenia and, in fact, the expenses incurred on the events in this way return to the Republic of Armenia and are distributed among citizens—depending on their activeness and type of activity.

Ultimately, these events increase the visibility of Armenia and bring new investments to the Republic of Armenia—with all the positive results of this,” the premier of Armenia added, in particular.
