A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during which the current work of Armenia's "Academic City" project were discussed.

Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan reported on the implemented and ongoing work within the framework of this project; in particular, she reflected on its content and infrastructure components.

Accordingly, work has been carried out on developing a concept for the expansion of Armenia’s universities and assessing needs, cooperation was carried out with prestigious international universities around separate clusters, and decisions were made in the best interest of the public.

The development of the master plan, urban development framework, and localization of the master plan have been completed.

The minister provided details also on the assessment of the costs necessary for the creation of the project's infrastructure and the implementation schedule.

The main phases of the implementation of the "Academic City" program were discussed, too.

In turn, Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized that the program should be implemented with precise content and a clear roadmap, and gave relevant instructions to those in charge regarding future courses of action.
