Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan commented on the statement by Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) regarding Armenia's possible return to the organization.

“I do not imagine how Armenia will return to the CSTO,” the minister noted while speaking with reporters. Earlier, CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov had stated that Armenia continues to remain a member of the organization, despite freezing its participation in CSTO activities.

In his opinion, the decision on Armenia's participation in the CSTO depends on the position of the country's leadership. Masadykov had expressed hope, however, that the Armenian side will reconsider its approach, taking into account the changing international situation.
