Honda Motor has unveiled a special version of its Stepwgn e:HEV Spada minivan, dubbed the Black Edition. The new special version went on sale in the Japanese domestic market starting from October 16 at a price starting at 4,185,000 yen, Drom.ru reports.
The Black Edition has a number of stylistic features compared to the standard minivan. On the outside, these include decorative elements designed with a “black chrome” effect—i.e. front grille cover, bumpers, sills, and trunk door moldings. In addition, the Black Edition is distinguished by black-painted alloy wheels of the original Berlina Black design—including wheel nuts. The look is completed by door handle covers and rear-view mirror housings.
The seats in the cabin are upholstered in black leather. In addition, the Black Edition involves equipping the minivan with some equipment. In particular, automatic switching on of the high beam of headlights, heating of the second row of seats, LED lighting elements of the cabin, and support for exiting the rear seat.
The hybrid version of the Stepwgn is equipped with the e:HEV system: it includes a 2.0-liter LFA naturally aspirated gasoline engine—145 hp, 175 Nm—an electric engine, a generator, and a lithium-ion battery. The total maximum power of the system is 184 hp. The station has three operating modes: Hybrid Drive, Engine Drive, and EV Drive.
