A tent camp is currently being built at one of the military training camps, where participants in the 25-day reservist trainings will undergo ten-day training. Defense Minister Suren Papikyan announced this during Wednesday’s question-and-answer session with the government, in the National Assembly of Armenia.

Papikyan e assured that fairly high social, housing, and living conditions will be provided in that area.

He informed that the European Union provided financial assistance to this project through its European Peace Facility.

According to the minister, these trainings are carried out in a manner appropriate to the military professions of their participants.

“Moreover, we are trying to put more emphasis on the application of the participants’ civilian knowledge and skills in the army,” the Armenian defense minister added.
