US President Donald Trump said on November 4 that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping could be among the guests invited to the new ballroom being built on the grounds of the White House.
He described the structure as the strongest building ever constructed in terms of its design, saying it had been specifically engineered to ensure the president’s safety. Trump said it would be able to host leaders from China, Russia, and other countries, with all guests remaining safe even at events attended by 2,000 or 2,500 people.
The US leader noted that particular emphasis had been placed on reinforced protective structures and bullet-resistant glazing along the side walls, providing a high level of security while maintaining transparency.
