Dialogue with Turkey is continuing in an intensive and effective manner, Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan said on November 5 during a joint session of the National Assembly’s standing committees discussing the 2027 draft state budget.
Nevertheless, despite the progress and positive momentum, the Armenian-Turkish border remains closed.
According to Mirzoyan, the process has reached such a positive stage that “the opening of the border and the establishment of diplomatic relations could take place at any moment.”
“The opening of the border and the establishment of relations, including diplomatic ties, will bring significant benefits to Armenia’s economy,” the minister said.
