The United States, Armenia and Azerbaijan have launched trilateral technical planning groups to advance the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), a multimodal transit route, according to a joint statement by the three countries published on the U.S. Department of State website.

The groups were launched by U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Brendan Hanrahan, Armenian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Vahan Kostanyan, and Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov.

The forum will bring together policymakers and technical experts from the three countries to work collaboratively toward long-term stability, economic vitality, regional connectivity and commercial prosperity. The initiative also underscores the August 8, 2025, Peace Summit Declaration brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump.

The parties agreed to establish the first two trilateral planning groups, focusing on transportation and electricity transmission. The groups are expected to help resolve complex technical issues and advance the project to the next stages of implementation, including connections with other regional infrastructure.

The three countries reaffirmed their commitment to the expeditious operationalization of all modalities of TRIPP.
