YEREVAN. - Acting Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian received on Friday US Senator Dick Durbin in Yerevan.

Nalbandian gave appraisal of Armenian-American cooperation which has recently gained new impetus due to joint efforts of the states. He stressed that mutual visits contribute to development and deepening of bilateral ties.

Senator Durbin said he had been following the issues concerning Armenia for many years and was happy to visit Yerevan to familiarize himself with Armenian government’s approaches towards regional problems.

Edward Nalbandian briefed Senator on the currents stage of the Karabakh peace process.

Armenian minister expressed gratitude to Durbin for his continues efforts into recognition of the Armenian Genocide, MFA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The sides also exchanged thoughts on regional and international problems.
