YEREVAN. – The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) nominated incumbent PM Tigran Sargsyan’s candidacy to the office of Prime Minister.  

At the RPA Executive Body (EB) session on Saturday, Sargsyan’s candidacy was nominated by Armenia’s President and RPA leader Serzh Sargsyan, and the EB and, subsequently, the RPA Council unanimously voted for his nomination.   

The matter of future ministers will be discussed during the EB’s subsequent sessions. 

To note, Armenia’s Government submitted its resignation on Thursday, that is, on the day of the inaugural session of the newly-elect National Assembly.
