BRUSSELS. – Visit of the Armenian delegation headed by the PM Tigran Sargsyan has launched in Belgium. The PM first visited IBA molecular company, which deals with the molecular medicine and produces equipment in that field.

Armenian Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan and the IBA CEO Pierre Mottet signed a cooperation agreement. As a result of the agreement and on the initiative of the Armenian National Competitiveness Foundation, a modern oncological center will be opened in Yerevan and equipment amounting to €2.5 million will be set in the center by February, 2013. The center will help in early diagnosis of the tumors and running an effective treatment, which will reduce death cases. The project is realized on private and state bases amounting to 35 million euro.

The PM also will deliver a speech at the Center for European Policy Studies (CEPS). Armenian PM also will meet with the president of the European People’s Party (EPP) Wilfried Martens and participate in the EPP political congress.

The Armenian delegation features acting Government Chief of Staff Davit Sargsyan, acting Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan, acting Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan, head of the Parliament Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan, and head of the National Competitiveness Foundation Arman Khachaturyan.
