American science-fiction and fantasy master Ray Bradbury, 91, died in California, AP reports quoting his daughter’s message.

Bradbury’s first success was the Martian Chronicles short story collection. He won many awards, including O. Henry award, Benjamin Franklin Awards and the Academy Awards.

In 2000, he was rewarded with the National Book Foundation’s Medal for his great contribution to the American literature.
