YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ambassador to Canada, Armen Yeganyan, on Wednesday met with Speaker Noël A. Kinsella of the Senate of Canada, MFA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.   

The main topic of their discussion was the Armenian-Canadian interparliamentary ties, and the interlocutors pointed to their satisfactory level.  

Also, Ambassador Yeganyan presented the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and thanked Canada for its balanced stance in this regard. 

In addition, Armenia’s ambassador extended his gratitude to the Canadian Senate for recognizing the Armenian Genocide, and noted that the Genocide’s international recognition and condemnation is a universal issue.

And upon Speaker Kinsella’s request, Ambassador Yeganyan spoke about the attempt to normalize Armenian-Turkish relations, whose result was the Zurich Protocols which the government of Turkey does not honor.
