The fate of our fellow citizens who went missing during the Nagorno-Karabakh war is an issue of great importance, Armen Gabrielyan, Head of the Working Group of the Commission on Armenian captives, hostages and missing persons, told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to Gabrielyan, currently 200 citizens are declared missing.

“At different times, information was obtained on the location of a considerable part of them in Azerbaijani captivity. The information was received from rather competent sources. After clarifying the information we received a list of 90 names,” Armen Gabrielyan said adding that with the support of international mediators the Armenian side is doing everything to find out information about the fates of our compatriots.

According to him, unfortunately there has not been any response from Azerbaijan so far.
