The U.S. Senate approved Richard Morningstar as Ambassador to Azerbaijan on Friday.

The Senators also approved ambassadors to 10 countries: Myanmar, Gambia, Nepal, Mongolia, Micronesia, Equatorial Guinea, the Maldives, Mozambique, Suriname and Tajikistan, Turan agency reported.

President Obama nominated Morningstar to be the next U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan in April. Two weeks ago the US Senate’s Committee on Foreign Relations confirmed the nomination.
