YEREVAN. – Armenia’s national platform of the Eastern Partnership and the European Research Center at the Yerevan State University organized “Armenia in Europe” conference scheduled for Thursday in Yerevan.

The conference will host the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy, who will be on official visit to the South Caucasus on June 3-5, as well as members of the Parliament, Government, local state agencies, NGOs, embassies, international agencies and media.  

The conference will have eight sessions. Each of them will be devoted to one of the public-political spheres of Armenia-EU cooperation, including security, human rights, justice and elections, promoting freedom of speech, bilateral economic cooperation, in particular, talks on Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, visa simplification, fight against corruption and others.
