YEREVAN. – The acceptance of applications, to represent Armenia at Junior Eurovision 2012 Song Contest, has begun, the Armenian delegation to Eurovision informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.   

The applications will be accepted till August 20.

According to the rules, children between the ages of 10 and 15 and who are citizens of Armenia, or have lived in the country for at least 2.5 years, can participate in the Contest.

And the candidate songs must be 2:30-2:45 minutes and in Armenian; but up to 25 percent of the song texts could be in foreign languages. 

To note, Junior Eurovision 2011 Song Contest was held in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan, and the winner was the group “Candy,” from Georgia, one of whose members was an Armenian girl by the name of Anna Khanchalyan.  

Junior Eurovision 2012 Song Contest will be held on December 1 in the Netherlands.
