YEREVAN. – Musician and singer Suren Arustamyan, who will represent Armenia at the “New Wave 2012” Song Contest final to be held in Jūrmala, Latvia, on July 24-29, will head there on July 14, Arustamyan himself informed during a press conference on Friday (PHOTOS).

And Armenia’s representative will differ from the representatives of sixteen participating countries by his style.

“There is no style imitation; they are different, [and] primarily in the pop genre. I am the only one who will sing Blues. And I am the only one who will play an instrument [, too],” he said.

In the “International Hits” category Suren Arustamyan will perform Eric Clapton’s “Change The World,” and in the “National Hits” category he will interpret “Ov Sirun, Sirun” (“Oh, Lovely, Lovely”). The author’s song is selected, too, but it could change.

“I, per se, do not consider myself a vocalist. Overall performance is my strong point, and I don’t intend on surprising anyone with my vocal,” said Arustamyan, and added that having a good performance is most important for him.
